The Sand & Sea collection was inspired by the artist’s memories of walking along the waters edge when visiting the beach in Scotland.

MAIN BANNER
LA MER (3)
La mer (3), reflects upon the play of the waves as they clash against the obstacles that interrupt their passage. Exposing the brooding mystery of the oceans depth. Japanese Glass Seed Beads combine to form the spirals, with Fresh Water Pearls reflecting the breaking wave introduced to create a centre feature. Loops have been created allowing ribbon or a toggle to close this necklace. The stark contrast between the Japanese Glass Beads and the Fresh Water Pearls is softened by the introduction of blue and topaz.
ARMERIA
A wonderful light and happy necklace – its flower motif bringing summer to the wearer. Japanese Glass Seed Beads with glass flowers reminiscent of the nodding sea thrift residing within the centre. Silver Rope Prince of Wales chain and silver plate lobster claw clasp complete this necklace.
NOCTURNES
This piece sets a ‘a monochromatic mood’ with shimmers of light & colour bubbling at intervals to the surface. Japanese Glass Seed Beads together with Fresh Water Pearls create this stunning necklace reminiscent of a rock pool with glistening shells and sea anemones. Finished with a black oxidized lobster carabiner clasp. Colour, Texture & Composition is important to me as an artist, as this necklace clearly exhibits.
LA MER (2)
Harmonious & rhythmic, La mer (2) oscillates with glimmering colour. When stitched together the result creates a dynamic, exhilarating necklace that caresses the senses. Japanese Glass Seed Beads combine to form the spirals, with Fresh Water Pearls introduced to create a centre feature. Silver Rope Prince of Wales chain and a silver plated lobster carabiner clasp complete this necklace.
WHITE SAND
A sense of purity can be found in the quiet, muted tones of this delicate necklace. A perfect choice for a bride on her Wedding Day. Japanese Glass Seed Beads, interrupted by Chinese Crystals are stitched
together by hand. Silver Rope Prince of Wales chain and a silver plate lobster claw clasp complete this necklace.
LA MER (1)
La mer (1) exhibits spontaneity of colours. The beads entwine to embrace the pearls creating a lively motion that allows playful interaction. Japanese Glass Seed Beads the colour of tropical coral ombine to form the spirals where Chinese and Swarozski Crystals intervene, with Fresh Water Pearls introduced to create a centre feature. Finished with a black oxidised large carabiner clasp.
The jewellery is made to commission and will begin with a personal consultation between the artist and the gift recipient (or the gift giver if they prefer the necklace to be a complete surprise).
At the consultation stage, (which can be done by phone or face to face) the artist will discuss colours, texture & composition with the client to realise what their desire might be.
By exploring examples of her work, the artist will engage with the client in order to establish what their likes and dislikes are, and to gain insight into their personality
Jewellery is worn for many reasons that span from the decorative to healing.
Working together with the client these aspects will be taken into consideration to ensure that the finished work reflects and/or complements the wearers needs.
To complete the gift your customised jewellery is presented in a gift box accompanied by the artists words relating to the inspiration that lies behind the finished work.
