They’ll be in in control in a one or two man inflatable Canoe or Kayak as they take on Rapids up to Grade 3! No previous experience is required. Under tuition and guidance from an internationally qualified River Guide and a boat that wont swamp, sink or hold its paddlers upside down they are fully able to enjoy the freedom and excitement that white water canoeing and kayaking has to offer. Trips run every morning from 10:00 to 13:00.
Scotland is home to the best natural theme park rides in the UK and with this gift, the recipient can experience the wet and wild of white water rafting on the mighty River Findhorn. The River Findhorn, while just outside the boundaries of the park is without doubt the finest white water experience to be found in the country. Inflatable boats provide stability similar to a raft and the maneuverability of a kayak and best of all they wont swamp and sink! We’re not saying it’s super easy, but with guidance and a watchful eye from our skilful staff you’ll find the rewards of negotiating whitewater all by yourself truly incredible. Combined with this, travelling on a natural watercourse is the best way to view wildlife and often the only way you will ever be able to see amazing gorges and appreciate their beauty
For each activity, participants are provided with transport to and from activities, warm 6mm flock lined quality clean wetsuits, neoprene socks (and gloves and hats in cold months.) Professional photos and or video included.
No previous experience is necessary. Under 18s must be authorised to participate by a parent or legal guardian. Minimum age 9. Participants must have a reasonable level of fitness and be capable of walking one mile. Anyone who is pregnant, has skeletal and muscular problems, has respiratory problems or has recently had an operation should consult the activity provider before booking.
Premises
Facilities at the Purpose Built Activity Base on the River Findhorn include a café and heated change rooms, (no getting changed in a car park…)
Transport
The Centre is about 8 miles from Forres and 15 miles from Grantown on Spey. There are no regular bus services. Sorry!
