Team work is the order of the day to guide the raft along the bumps and glides along the rivers natural course, through waterfalls, rock pools and wild and wet rapids. Combined with this, travelling on a natural watercourse is the best way to view wildlife and often the only way you will ever be able to see amazing gorges and appreciate their beauty.
Scotland is home to the best natural theme park rides in the UK and the team can experience the wet and wild of white water rafting on the mighty River Findhorn. The River Findhorn, while just outside the boundaries of the Cairngorm National Park is without doubt the finest white water experience to be found in the country. With the only operator that rafts the spectacular lower gorge on the River Findhorn this full day trip is from 10:00 to 16:00 and includes cliff jumping for those with a head for heights!
This stunning section of the river offers the best year round rafting in the UK bar none and is the activity specialist’s most popular and best value activity, sporting mind blowing scenery and up to Grade 5 Rapids. And it might help you to know that the next grade of rapid up from 5 – Grade 6 rapids – are considered to be so dangerous as to be effectively un-navigable on a reliably safe basis!
You’ll get kitted out then run through the basic maneuvers on dry land before launching in to the river.
SUITABLE FOR…?
- No previous experience is necessary but participants must have a reasonable level of fitness. This activity is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, has skeletal and muscular problems, has respiratory problems or has recently had an operation.
HARD FACTS
- £77 per participant based on groups of 10 or more participants
-For each activity, participants are provided with transport to and from activities, warm 6mm flock lined quality clean wetsuits, neoprene socks (and gloves and hats in cold months.)
-Worth bringing a swimming costume or spare underclothes and T-shirts for changing
-Professional photos and or video included.
-Trips run every afternoon from 14:00 to 17:00 from April to November. Special arrangements can however be made for larger groups.

VENUE
This team event takes place at the activity specialist’s own venue in the Highlands. Facilities at the purpose built activity base on the River Findhorn include a café and heated change rooms, (no getting changed in a car park…) You will need to wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather.
