Japanese style art print Indian Runner Ducks

Original handcrafted woodblock print made using pure pigments on pure white Japanese Hosho paper. Eight colour impressions plus embossed signature. Also signed and dated in pencil. Print size 10.5” x 5.5” / 26.5cm x 14cm approx. The print comes packaged in a crystal clear cellophane bag with stiffening board. The package measures 11.7” x 10” / 29.5cm x 25.5cm approx. The print is mounted onto card using photo corners, and an information sheet explaining how the print was made is included on the reverse. The package will be sent in a board-backed envelope by Royal Mail. Claire is fascinated by the paradoxical concept of creating many of the same print whilst at the same time each of those prints is individual. Indeed, one of the most satisfying parts of the whole process, she says, is seeing a batch of prints laid out next to each other – they all appear at a glance to be the same, and yet each has its own minute variation and is an individual, original work of art, created by hand from the set of carved woodblocks.
