Archery brings the image of the classic longbow as wielded by Robin Hood or William Tell and you may also have at the back of your mind that this sport will require a strength beyond your own as longbows not only required considerable strength on the part of the archer but constant practice to shoot accurately.
The modern bow however makes archery a sport suitable for young and old and our club membership reflects this with membership starting at 8 years old.
This is also a sport for those with disabilities – indeed, one of our wheelbound members was hoping to take part in the paralympics.
This is a gift of a beginner’s course comprising 4 one-and-a-half hour archery lessons. These courses are run regularly by qualified coaches and we provide all the equipment you will need to get going.
