Story telling is well recognized as an exceptional communication skill and the basis not just of many sales strategies but also a recognized evaluation technique. The perfect training session for teams where they will stretch their imagination and improve their listening and verbal dexterity skills.
This workshop revolves around the idea of stories and the way in which they affect us, whether we know it or not. The workshop leader has a post graduate degree in post modern communication and will use his expertise to help develop your team’s communication skills in an enjoyable and memorable fashion.
To begin, participants will listen to a selection of ancient and recent stories from around the world. Participants will then be given a chance to practice, splitting into pairs and sharing a story of a good experience with their partner. Your team will discover the history of story-telling and some of the dramatic effects that followed those who decided, like Scheherezade of the 1001 Nights , that neither ‘flight’ or ‘fight’ would save them but that telling a story would. Back in pairs, each group will come up with an imaginary world around a given theme and will then illustrate this with stories.
This workshop can help your team open their minds, increase their ability to listen without prejudgment and develop their verbal creativity.
