Sail from our base, the Yacht Haven in Troon, Ayrshire, aboard a comfortable, well equipped Moody 41 with spacious accommodation for up to 6 guests. Your yacht is coded to the rigorous safety specifications demanded by the MCA, and in many areas, safety features exceed those expected. These sailing courses, offer expertly created meals using only fresh produce and your evening meals are accompanied by a bottle of wine.
Sailing in the Clyde and off the West Coast of Scotland can be challenging, demanding, exciting and great fun. But your sailing course will teach you how to handle that and at the same time you can see the beauty and wildlife that is all around us in the Clyde.
The Kyles of Bute always offer good sailing and great scenery, with Rothesay an ideal place to stop overnight on both our sailing courses or charters. Other destinations for your weekend trips can include Millport on Great Cumbrae; as well as a number of unspoilt anchorages.
This gift is fully inclusive of all meals from breakfast on day 1 until lunch on the last day. Also included are all marina and harbour fees, fuel and use of breathable wet weather clothing, excluding boots. Most importantly we have a maximum of 4 students on board for all our RYA yachting courses with everyone having their own sleeping space. No sharing a double bed with a stranger!
Your sailing yacht is rigged as a masthead sloop and with her centre cockpit makes for a safe, willing and responsive yacht. She has 6 berths in 2 cabins plus saloon with the skipper having his own separate cabin aft. The well equipped galley has double sinks, cooker, and fridge. There is a spacious saloon with seating for 8, with radio/CD player and small library.
This gift is for the RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper Courses gained over 3 weekends – ideal for the person who wants to get the skills but has less leave.
